Job summary

Westleigh St Paul’s Primary School is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary team. You will work closely with class teachers to support learning, development and wellbeing across the primary age range.

The role involves assisting with lessons, supporting individuals and small groups, and promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding of pupils. Start date: January 2027. This is a temporary position at our Westleigh site.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Patience, positive attitude and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptable and able to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Holding a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification.
