Job summary

Morice Town Primary Academy is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join in January 2027. The post is permanent, full-time, term-time only, with 28.33 hours per week and a pro rata salary.

The role focuses on supporting young children’s learning within a supportive team and school community in Plymouth. The candidate should have Level 2 TA or Level 2 EY qualifications, strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and a can-do attitude; SEN experience is preferable.

Qualifications

• Have at least Level 2 Teaching Assistant and/or Level 2 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent)
• Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
• Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, adaptable and open to new ideas and practices
• Be a fast and highly flexible thinker, being able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Experience of working with SEN children preferable
