Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a primary academy in the Broughton area, working with the Enquire Learning Trust. Start September 2026 with flexible hours, weekly pay, and a supportive team.

Role involves supporting lessons, small groups, and pupils with varied needs, including SEND. Requires Level 3 TA qualification, DBS updates, and right to work in the UK. Sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 6 months UK school-based experience supporting primary-aged children.
• Experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be patient, enthusiastic and passionate about helping children succeed.
• Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small intervention groups to raise attainment.
• Provide tailored support for children with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
• Help create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources and assessment activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
