Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join a secondary school in Walsall from November 2026 on a full-time supply basis. You will deliver music lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop knowledge, performance skills and understanding of styles and theory.

The role involves planning, assessing progress, managing behaviour, and encouraging creativity and collaboration, with an emphasis on engagement and high standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong subject knowledge in Music.
• Experience delivering KS3/KS4 lessons.
• Strong behaviour management.
• Reliable and organised.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Develop students’ performance, composition, listening and appraisal skills.
• Encourage creativity, collaboration and musical expression.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Plan lessons and assess student progress and maintain high standards of behaviour.
