Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking an experienced Supply Music Teacher to support secondary schools in and around Faringdon. You will deliver engaging Music lessons to KS3-KS5 and manage a secondary classroom with confidence.

QTS is not essential; strong knowledge of Music and ability to lead lessons independently are key. This flexible supply role offers day-to-day or longer-term placements and a dedicated consultant to help match opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Music and ability to lead lessons independently.
• Experience teaching or delivering Music to secondary-aged students.
• Ability to manage a classroom confidently across KS3-KS5.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Music lessons across KS3-KS5.
• Confidently manage a secondary classroom.
• Follow existing lesson plans and schemes of work.
• Adapt lessons to suit different abilities and learning needs.
• Support students with both theoretical and practical elements of Music.
• Maintain a positive, engaging and productive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
• Provide continuity during staff absence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
