Job summary

GSL Education - South Yorkshire in Barnsley is seeking an enthusiastic MFL Teacher to plan and deliver engaging language lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while building confidence in language learning.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong subject knowledge, excellent communication and behaviour management, plus a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching MFL within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in language teaching.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to helping students make strong academic progress.
• Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress with constructive feedback.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
• Encourage confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.
• Work with colleagues to support school priorities.
