Job summary

Elementa Support Services is recruiting enthusiastic Teachers of Mathematics to deliver engaging lessons across KS3/KS4, with KS5 desirable where applicable, in Rhondda Cynon Taff and surrounding areas.

The role is contract/long-term/supply depending on availability, with full-time hours (part-time considered) and ASAP start. Pay is scale-based (MPS/UPS) depending on experience, with DBS and regulatory checks supported by Elementa.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration required.
Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach a broad range of topics across KS3 and KS4; KS5 is desirable where applicable.
Develop students’ problem‑solving, reasoning and analytical skills.
Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour at all times.
Support students in preparing for examinations and achieving goals.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
