Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust seeks a Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine for a 12-month fixed-term post at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. The role includes 10 programmed activities with on-call duties and opportunities for flexible working patterns to support service delivery and patient care.

Qualifications

• Hold a current licence to practice from the GMC.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM).
• Valid ALS/ATLS/APLS Provider status (or equivalent).
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register with subspecialty in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (GRID or equivalent).
• ALS/ATLS/APLS instructor status (at least one).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients referred for treatment.
• Liaise with colleagues in other specialties for coordinated care.
• Participate in service governance and strategic planning.
• Involve in teaching and training within the department.
• Engage in continuing medical education and MDT meetings.
