Job summary

HMRC’s Solicitor’s Office and Legal Services in Stratford Regional Centre seeks a Litigation Paralegal on a 4‑month initial contract. The role supports specialist litigation teams and handles a range of advisory and litigation work.

You will assist lawyers from case start to conclusion at Tribunal or Court, draft notices, file documents, prepare chronologies, and manage confidential paperwork. Strong legal research, organizational skills, and IT proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Legal qualification and strong legal research skills.
• Experience in litigation.
• Strong organisation and workload management.
• Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Draft and serve notices and applications for Tribunal.
• Draft case correspondence and prepare chronologies.
• Identify relevant documents and produce bundles.
• Attend Tribunal hearings.
• Draft statements of case and other key documents.
• Provide legal support to senior colleagues on complex cases.
• Some administrative duties.
