Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for a spacious day nursery in Bolton. You will act as Key Person for a group of children, plan engaging EYFS activities, and help maintain high standards of safety and wellbeing.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a salary of £24,000–£26,500 per year depending on experience. Requirements include Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare, EYFS knowledge, DBS check, and preferably Pediatric First Aid.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Cache Level 3).
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Pediatric First Aid certificate preferred or willing to undertake.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking progress and updating learning journals (e.g., EYLog/Tapestry).
• Plan and carry out creative, age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS frameworks.
• Ensure high standards of child safety, hygiene, safeguarding, and well-being at all times.
• Build strong, open communication channels with parents and carers.
