Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate is preferred.
• Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper portion, arrangement, and garnish for all dishes.
• Serving food in proper portions with correct plate appearance.
• Informing F&B staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Preparing potentially hazardous foods at correct temperatures per HACCP.
• Maintaining personal hygiene and wearing appropriate headgear (hat/hairnet) and footwear.
• Following food safety and handling policies (FIFO, dating, labeling, storage, Cold Chain).
• Ensuring quality of food items and notifying manager if not meeting specifications.
• Monitoring quantity of food prepared and portions served to control waste.
• Communicating with Chef during busy periods to ensure best guest service.
• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Checking appliance and food temperatures with thermostats/thermometers; reporting issues.
• Reporting maintenance needs to management or maintenance staff.
• Maintaining knowledge of company Food Safety Programs and local regulations.
• Monitoring food quality using HACCP forms and production charts.
• Preparing cold foods (salads, cold sandwiches, condiments, dressings).
