Job summary

DCS Recruitment in Accrington seeks an experienced Estimator to lead costings for internal fit-out, refurbishment and commercial construction projects. You will analyse drawings, prepare tender prices, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure accurate, competitive bids from enquiry to submission.

Based in the North West with opportunities to work across the wider UK, the role requires strong IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in internal fit-out, refurbishment or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of internal fit-out trades and construction methods.
• Experience pricing subcontractor packages and obtaining supplier quotations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to estimating.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries and project specs.
• Analyse drawings, schedules and tender docs.
• Prepare cost estimates for internal fit-out projects.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Price labour, materials, plant and subcontractor packages.
• Identify project risks and cost savings.
• Prepare tender submissions and documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers throughout tender process.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings.
• Maintain estimating records and tender databases.
• Hand over successful tenders to commercial/project teams.
• Ensure estimates meet timescales and quality standards.
