Job summary

Norwich Theatre is seeking Fixed Term Housekeeping Assistants for 2 November 2026 to 31 January 2027. The role supports the Cleaning Operations team across three buildings, covering early mornings, evenings and weekends, with seasonal bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• To carry out cleaning duties as required.
• Use stepladders when necessary with due regard to health & safety.
• Use approved cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and COSHH regulations.
• Care for all cleaning equipment and materials assigned to them.
• Carry out cleaning duties including mopping spills, bodily fluids and other substances.
• Report to the Supervisor any defects affecting security.
• Wear protective clothing provided.
• Clean public areas, offices and back of house; dust furniture and surfaces.
• Attend to laundering of towels.
• Liaise with Supervisor regarding building maintenance and repairs.
• Participate in team meetings and training (COSHH, Manual Handling, Step Ladder use).
• Follow current cleaning schedule and propose improvements.
