Job summary

King’s Forest Primary School is seeking a positive and energetic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. The role covers classes from Nursery through to Year 6, delivering planned lessons during ECT time, teacher CPD time and some sickness cover.

You will work alongside a teacher to support teaching and learning and contribute to a dynamic HLTA team. This temporary post is to cover maternity leave until 01.11.2027 or until the substantive post-holders return.

Qualifications

• Ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Cover classes from Nursery through to Year 6 delivering planned lessons during ECT time and teacher CPD time.
• Provide sickness cover and support teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Work closely with the school’s HLTA team to form a dynamic unit and contribute to pupil outcomes.
• Support colleagues and participate in school initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
