Wayman Education in Derby is seeking a knowledgeable and energetic History teacher to join a high-expectations secondary school. You will teach History to KS3/KS4 with KS5 opportunities, helping students develop source analysis and essay writing skills while preparing them for GCSEs.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, has strong History knowledge and proven secondary teaching experience, and can engage students with compelling historical content.

Formación

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching History at secondary level.
• Ability to make historical content engaging and accessible for KS3/KS4 students.
• Demonstrates effective assessment and classroom management and contributes to curriculum planning.

Responsabilidades

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 where applicable.
• Deliver lessons covering historical periods, events and interpretations.
• Develop students' source analysis, essay writing and evaluation skills.
• Assess progress and prepare students for GCSE examinations.
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
