Job summary

The Canterbury Academy is seeking a passionate Cover Supervision / Teacher to positively influence student learning. You will supervise whole classes when teachers are absent and implement planned work, while developing curricular knowledge and applying the Academy's Behaviour Management Policy.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in learning and managing classroom activities.
• Ability to follow pre-prepared lesson plans and guidance from teachers.

Responsibilities

• Undertake whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work prepared by the teacher.
• Develop curricular knowledge as required by the Academy.
• Apply the Academy’s Behaviour Management Policy and report difficulties to the supervising teacher/DoTL.
• Set homework prepared by the teacher.
