Our client, a well-established further education college, is seeking a passionate English Lecturer to join its teaching team. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, teaching learners across abilities, and support language development to help students achieve their qualifications.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in English, a recognised teaching qualification or is working towards one, and can engage diverse learners with excellent communication and classroom management.

Qualifications

• Degree in English is required or essential.
• Recognised teaching qualification or working towards one.
• FE English teaching experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
• Teaching learners across a range of abilities and educational backgrounds.
• Supporting students in developing reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
• Preparing learners for English qualifications and examinations.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress.
• Providing additional support and guidance to help learners achieve their targets.
• Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental activities.
