Job summary

Tanfield Lea Community Primary School in County Durham is seeking an Early Years teacher for a two-term temporary contract. The role starts 1 January 2027 and runs until 31 August 2027, in line with Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.

Qualifications

• Applications are welcome from teachers with at least a year's teaching experience (ECT year or equivalent).
• Must hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required if successful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Early Years teaching and learning activities.
• Contribute to a busy, lively school community and support progress of all children.
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop the curriculum and participate in CPD.
