Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for our nursery in the Adams Building, Lace Market, Nottingham. The role focuses on delivering High-Quality Early Years education from 6 weeks to 5 years, using the EYFS framework and strong documentation of child development.

You will plan with your key children, communicate with families and professionals, and participate in ongoing training to ensure every child reaches their potential in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Qualified Childcare Practitioner
  • Experience with EYFS
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Ability to contribute to every child’s development and wellbeing

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate learning opportunities under EYFS
  • Keep high quality records of children’s development
  • Plan for key children’s development using EYFS curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and professionals
  • Support children to have a healthy start in life and secure development
  • Engage in mandatory and new training relevant to the post
  • Be reliable and contribute positively to the team
