Job summary

Milk Education is working with a friendly primary school in Hartlepool to appoint an Early Years Assistant for September 2026. The role is based in Hartlepool from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, supporting Nursery/Reception and contributing to a safe, engaging learning environment.

We are seeking caring, enthusiastic candidates with strong teamwork and communication skills and a genuine passion for Early Years education. Childcare experience or qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Nursery and/or Reception Teacher with day-to-day activities and observations.
• Help create a safe, engaging learning environment for all pupils.
• Support children's learning through play-based activities, small group interventions, and one-to-one support.
• Assist with daily routines, including personal care where required.
• Work closely with teaching staff to provide high standards of care and education.
