Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of welcoming secondary schools in Newtown and the surrounding areas. This is a flexible role offering day-to-day supply, short-term assignments and longer-term positions.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils stay engaged with their learning, supporting teachers in maintaining a positive classroom environment in KS3 and KS4.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a UK Secondary School environment.
• Confidence supervising classes across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• A genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.
