Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Walsall and Birmingham from October 2026. The role involves supervising KS3/KS4, delivering pre-planned lessons, and maintaining order to ensure learning continues in teachers' absence.

Applicants should have strong classroom management, experience in KS3/KS4, and a calm, professional approach. DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Experience with KS3 and KS4 students.
• Calm, reliable and professional approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in supporting young people and their education.
• Experience working in Walsall and/or Birmingham schools would be beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
