Job summary

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in the Burnley area. This is a full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional to support pupils across a range of subjects and year groups.

The ideal candidate will supervise KS3/KS4 classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and provide feedback to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience supervising classes or groups of pupils.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused on their work.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where appropriate.
• Maintain a positive, calm and productive classroom environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour.
• Work across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.
