Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors for South Manchester and surrounding areas. The role involves supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and delivering pre-set work across secondary schools.

We welcome trainee teachers, graduates, teaching assistants, sports coaches, youth workers, and others with education experience to apply. Flexible daily supply and longer-term opportunities are available with dedicated recruitment support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in a school setting.
• Ability to follow set lesson plans and school policies.
• Strong communication with pupils, teachers and parents where required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-set work and keep pupils on task.
• Confidently manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage good behaviour.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Support pupils with their learning where appropriate.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lessons.
