Job summary

Springwood High School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated and ambitious support team. The role covers lessons in the absence of teachers, ensuring pupils are engaged with pre-set work and maintaining a safe, productive environment. The post is 31 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week).

Start ASAP. Salary is £13.90–£14.58 per hour (pro‑rata). An Enhanced DBS check will be required, and the school is committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Cover supervision of classes across the curriculum when teachers are absent.
• Provide support to pupils and maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons for teachers who are absent or occupied; implement set work and manage classes.
• Supervise examinations ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Assist with supervising school visits and safeguarding of pupils during trips.
• Provide technical and administrative support for school systems and Year Managers.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Headteacher.
