Job summary

Salford City College is seeking a dynamic Teacher of Computing and ICT for a full-time maternity cover starting January 2027. The post involves teaching Level 1-3 across Computing and IT, with an emphasis on engaging students through innovative use of technology and a student-centred teaching approach.

The role requires a PGCE / Cert Ed, a good honours degree, and programming skills (C# / C++, Python). The successful candidate will join a growing Digital Department with strong industry links.

Qualifications

• A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
• A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant IT industry experience.
• Skills in at least one Programming Language, such as C# / C++ or Python.
• Ability to utilise new technologies to engage, inspire and excite students in the subject area.
• A student first, creative, fun and exciting approach to teaching and learning in the classroom.
