Job summary

Wayman Education is seeking a Computer Science teacher for Stoke-on-Trent to join our pool of skilled education professionals. The role covers KS3/KS4 with KS5 opportunities, and focuses on programming, algorithms and computational thinking.

You will deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and support GCSE/A-Level preparation, helping pupils develop practical coding skills and digital confidence. QTS-qualified teachers with a passion for pedagogy are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and has Computer Science teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming and computing principles.
• Able to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
• Demonstrates effective classroom management.
• Confident using digital tools to support learning.
• Passionate about developing pupils' digital skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 where available.
• Deliver lessons covering programming, algorithms and computational thinking.
• Develop pupils' practical coding and problem-solving skills.
• Support GCSE and, where applicable, A-Level examination preparation.
• Assess pupil progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Encourage responsible, confident and creative use of technology.
