Step Teachers is seeking Computer Science teachers for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities in Norwich and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging CS lessons across Key Stages, following provided plans and adapting to different school environments.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, with strong CS/ICT knowledge and solid classroom management. DBS and safeguarding compliance are standard requirements, with ongoing professional development through Norfolk Steps partnership.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or ICT.
• Confident in classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons following provided plans.
• Teach topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, networks and digital literacy.
• Support pupils in developing computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Assess and record pupil progress when required.
• Adapt teaching strategies for learners of varying abilities.
• Contribute to departmental planning during longer placements.
