Job summary

Worle Community School, part of Pathway Trust, is recruiting a permanent cover supervisor to take charge of classes when teachers are absent. The role centres on delivering teacher-set tasks, keeping students focused and safe, and reporting on progress and behaviour. The post is term-time only, 32.5 hours a week across 39 weeks, with the start date of 12 October 2026.

• GCSE English and Maths or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Background working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes with tasks left by teachers and keep students on task.
• Create a welcoming, focused and respectful classroom.
• Help students with their work and provide tailored support to individuals or small groups.
• Return completed work to teachers and report progress and behaviour.
