Job summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join an Early Intervention Team supporting children, young people and families to achieve positive and lasting outcomes in Tonypandy and across the borough.

You will assess needs, identify risks, develop and review care and support plans, undertake direct work with children and families, monitor progress against agreed outcomes and contribute to safeguarding inquiries, professional meetings and timely case records,

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current registration.
• Experience with children, young people and families in statutory or community settings.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to apply assessment frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-quality assessments and contribute to safeguarding enquiries.
• Develop and review care and support plans for children and families.
• Undertake direct work with children and families and monitor progress against outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records and ensure children's voices are central to decisions.
• Attend and prepare for professional meetings and escalate concerns when needed.
• Provide guidance and practical support to families to access services.
• Collaborate with partners to promote safety, wellbeing and family functioning.
