Job summary

ActivSport is seeking enthusiastic, reliable School Sports Coaches to deliver high-quality sessions in primary schools. The role focuses on after-school clubs across local schools, with sessions fun, engaging and well-organised.

Additional hours may be available through wraparound care, holiday camps and PE delivery, creating regular work across the school week. Part-time, term-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching primary-school-aged children.
• Ability to manage groups independently.
• Positive and enthusiastic coaching style.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging sports sessions for primary-school-aged children.
• Coaching after-school clubs across a range of local schools.
• Planning and adapting activities to suit different ages and abilities.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment.
• Managing groups of children safely and confidently.
• Encouraging participation, teamwork and positive behaviour.
• Ensuring sessions are well organised and appropriately challenging.
• Communicating professionally with school staff, parents and colleagues.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures.
