Job summary

Optalis is the Adult Social Care delivery partner for Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council. We are recruiting an Activity Support Organiser for Maidenhead, based at Boyn Grove Resource Centre, Mon-Fri 8.30am–4.30pm, with a salary of £24,791.39 FTE (£12.85ph).

You will run engaging activities for adults, support wellbeing and life skills, and may assist with care tasks. A manual UK driving licence is required; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector would be beneficial but is not necessary.
• Full training provided, including classroom-based learning, shadowing experienced staff and online sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, person-centred support to people we serve.
• Engage and motivate individuals to participate in on-site activities and community events.
• Assist with life skills, emotional and physical wellbeing.
• Carry out care tasks when needed, including medication, personal care, meals and mobility support.
• Support with a range of activities such as arts, crafts, sports and outings.
