Job summary

Specialist Passenger Solutions (SPS), a division of First Bus, is recruiting a Delegate Examiner to conduct theory and practical PCV tests in line with DVSA standards. You will train and coach colleagues, ensure compliance with road traffic rules, and maintain detailed records.

The role requires a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation, a strong focus on safety and customer service, and a solid background in driver training with DVSA qualifications.

Qualifications

• No criminal convictions in last 3 years as per DVSA requirements.
• DVSA Delegate Examiner course completed and standards achieved.
• Flexible working hours due to 24/7 operation.
• Previous experience in Driver Training.
• Solid understanding of Office 365 applications.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PCV driving tests in line with DVSA standards and document results.
• Coach and support colleagues to maintain DVSA standards.
• Deliver theory tests and assess knowledge of highway code and vehicle operations.
• Provide guidance to training team and colleagues on best practice.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting vehicles and testing.
• Deliver classroom modules on driving standards and professional development.
• Help create new training materials to improve safety and compliance.
