About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and DV Security Cleared Construction Site Working Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a secure infrastructure project. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in groundworks, fencing, and plant operations, coupled with contract administration experience. You will play a pivotal role in supervising site activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining project standards on one of the UK’s most sensitive and regulated construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and assist with the implementation of groundworks, fencing, and general construction activities on site.

•Oversee and guide operatives, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

•Operate plant machinery (including excavators) as required, maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

•Support contract administration tasks, including documentation, reporting, and communication with clients and stakeholders.

•Ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety requirements and company policies.

•Maintain accurate records, complete daily site documentation, and provide progress updates to management and clients.

•Conduct dynamic risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks as necessary.

•Foster positive relationships with clients, tenants, and the public affected by site works.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

•DV Security Clearance: Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is mandatory for this position.

•CSCS Gold Supervisors Card: Demonstrates advanced supervisory skills and health & safety knowledge.

•Groundworks & Fencing Qualifications: Proven experience and relevant vocational qualifications in groundworks and fencing.

•Plant Operator Licence: Valid CPCS or equivalent licence to operate excavators and other plant machinery.

•Contract Administration: Experience supporting or managing construction contract administration, including documentation and compliance.

•Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence.

•First Aid at Work certification.

•Additional plant machinery or grounds maintenance qualifications.

•Experience working on secure or government-regulated sites.

•Strong communication and leadership skills.

•Proficiency in using mobile systems for site documentation and reporting.
