Job summary

Scantec is seeking a DV or SC Cleared Mechanical or Piping Supervisor for a contract project at AWE, Reading. Start Date: 12th October 2026.

You will conduct daily safety briefings, review permits, risk assessments and method statements, and oversee pipework installation across carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic or specialist nuclear systems.

Qualifications

• DV clearance and industry safety certifications required.
• SMSTS, IPAF and NVQ Level 3 in relevant trade.
• Experience with piping installation and site safety.

We are currently looking for a DV or SC Cleared Mechanical or Piping Supervisor for our client on a project based in AWE, Reading
Type:Contract

Start Date: 12th October 2026

Rate: £375 Day Rate (potential overtime available) (£46.88ph)
Pay Type: CIS
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm
Essential Requirements: Must hold current DV Clearance, SMSTS, IPAF and NVQ level 3 in relevant trade

Duties:Conduct daily safety briefings, review work permits, risk assessments and method statements. Ensure compliance with site safety rules, update daily progress reports and work records.

Measure, mark out, and prepare pipework for installation. Install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic, or specialist nuclear piping systems. Assemble pipe spools, valves, flanges, supports, and fittings.
