A leading IT Consultancy in the UK is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their multi-skilled agile team in Basingstoke for a 6-month project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps environments, deploying applications in Windows 10, and will need to meet high-level security clearance requirements. Role Description and Spec

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work as part of a multi skilled agile team, including security, service and management where teamwork is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the project's Solution Lead.
• Leads the evaluation of the applications against the target operating environment to determine impacts and scale of integration activities.
• Provides application deployment and integration services for a small set of existing 3rd party provided applications, operating on thick-client devices.
• Deploys the applications into the target-operating environment and integrates with other data sources and systems, according to the agreed designs.
• Collaborates with Solution Lead, Application Engineer (Design) Security Consultant, and Test Lead to ensure that the deployment meets the security requirements and is accreditable.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 18 weeks.
