Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary, and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals.

We require an ICT Solution Architect (Apps) to cover an existing workload within Metropolitan Police, based in Empress State Building (Hybrid working).

This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

MUST HAVE ACTIVE DV LEVEL CLEARANCE IN ORDER TO APPLY! MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE PROOF IN THE FORM OF DV CERTIFICATE OR AN EMAIL SHOWING FULL DETAILS!

Job Purpose:

• This role will support the Senior Architect (Chief Technical Architect) to provide enterprise design and support expertise for a range of ICT projects and the overall CTP architecture.
• This role is vital to ensure the CTP infrastructure, systems, and services are built, designed, and architected to be secure and efficient.
• The role requires a flexible working approach and self-motivation to ensure the environments are well architected and documented.

Skills and experience needed:

• Experience and knowledge of Government Security Classifications levels and understanding of the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework.
• Experience designing systems via Architectural Frameworks, especially TOGAF.
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in writing design documentation suitable for accreditation up to IL5.
• Experience working with accreditor to meet security standards for IL5.
• Expert knowledge in designing and building resilient systems.
• Competence in designing Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, GPO, High Availability services, Windows desktop/VDI, Certificates and PKI, RSA Tokens.
• Designing network infrastructure with Cisco Routing/Switches, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP/NTP, intrusion detection/prevention.
• Designing solutions hosted on AWS, understanding Well Architected Framework and Landing Zones.
• Designing and working with AzureAD and Office 365 services.
• Designing Linux environments within Windows infrastructures.
• Experience with VMware Virtualisation.
• Developing software solutions using technologies like .NET, MVC, Python, JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Documenting business processes using BPMN or similar frameworks.
