Job summary

Catering in Corsham, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant to design and deliver secure DevOps platforms for a UK Government programme. You will lead architecture, automation and platform assurance in air-gapped, highly secure environments.

The role focuses on building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jira and Confluence, promoting Infrastructure as Code, and providing technical leadership across the DevOps lifecycle. Hybrid working 2 days on site.

Qualifications

• DV clearance required and proven DevOps leadership experience in secure environments.
• Experience designing secure DevOps platforms and tooling in air-gapped environments.
• Strong knowledge of IaC, automation and security documentation.
• Experience producing HLDs/LLDs and runbooks for regulated programmes.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure DevOps platforms using GitLab, Jira and Confluence.
• Design CI/CD solutions for air-gapped environments.
• Develop secure software promotion, patching and update processes.
• Define toolchain integration and automation strategies.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps best practices.
• Produce HLDs/LLDs, operational docs and security artefacts.
• Conduct design reviews, security assurance and compliance activities.
• Support platform optimisation and stakeholder engagement at customer sites.
