Job summary

Fuel Recruitment Limited is seeking a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer to join a defence-focused client team in Taunton. You will design and execute tests across physical infrastructure and IaC, ensuring quality from POC to production.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery specialists to optimise infrastructure and testing across on-prem and cloud environments. Key skills include Linux/Unix diagnostics, network fundamentals, Terraform/Ansible/Kubernetes, VMware, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Proficient with Linux/Unix command line for diagnostics, configuration and validation.
• Experience with physical infrastructure setup and troubleshooting (Routers, Switches, cabling).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, VirtualBox) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, Firewalls, VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure-focused test strategies and design tests across physical infrastructure and IaC.
• Analyse infrastructure requirements and architectures with engineers, architects and delivery specialists.
• Work to ensure quality of products as they move from POC to production.
