Job summary

Talent Locker is seeking an Infrastructure Test Engineer for a DV-cleared contract role in Somerset. You will test infrastructure across physical, virtualised and cloud environments, ensuring functionality, resilience and security before deployment into highly secure production environments.

You will work with Infrastructure Engineers, Architects, and DevSecOps specialists to validate IaC deployments, participate in security accreditation, and build test readiness into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• DV security clearance is required.
• Experience testing across networks, platforms and IaC.
• Proven ability to test infrastructure in CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with physical, virtualised and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for IaC deployments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of secure-by-design, IAM and OS hardening.

Responsibilities

• Create infrastructure-focused test strategies, plans and test cases.
• Carry out functional, integration, regression, resilience and security testing.
• Test and validate Infrastructure as Code deployments.
• Validate physical, virtualised and cloud infrastructure.
• Provision and verify test environments with DevSecOps teams.
• Integrate infrastructure validation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify defects and risks ahead of production.
• Support security assurance and accreditation activities.
• Maintain test evidence and traceability.
