An established industry player in North London is seeking a dedicated Duty Solicitor to join its dynamic crime team. This role offers the opportunity to handle all aspects of legal aid and private client criminal defence work, providing essential advice and representation in both Magistrates and Crown Courts. We are a North London law firm seeking a full-time or part-time Duty Solicitor to join our crime team. Applications from individuals interested in consultancy work are also welcome.

The role involves handling all aspects of legal aid and private client criminal defence work, including:

1. Advising clients and duty personnel at police stations
2. Managing and preparing a diverse caseload in Magistrates Court and Crown Court
3. Representing clients through advocacy in Magistrates Court
4. Opportunities to conduct advocacy in Crown Court for applicants with Higher Rights of Audience

We encourage our solicitors to develop their own client base. Our office systems support remote and hybrid working models. While experience in extradition law is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
