Duty Shift Manager
Doncaster
£67,293 per annum + 15% shift allowance
Shifts - Days and Nights
Your new role
As the Duty Shift Manager at Doncaster, you will ensure Operational safety of the TMC, conduct post incident investigations, and contribute to a positive safety culture. You will also manage the maintenance teams overseeing fault finding and repair of Hitachi rolling stock assets.
Support good quality, health, safety and environmental practices in the workplace
Conduct or facilitate Start of shift briefings - Including sharing of Safety, Quality, and operational information.
Conduct safety Tours of work site and contribute to building a positive safety culture
Quality - Conduct In process checks and Finished work inspections to ensure work standards are maintained and improved
Responsible on a shift basis to ensure that The team delivers the contractual requirements for availability of train to the correct standard to meet the diagrammed requirements of the TOC
To ensure all contractual KPI’s are complete for each train before entering service
To ensure that all records are completed and entered into the maintenance management system.
Obtain and use engineering schedules, procedures and specifications for traction and rolling stock activities
Organize resources and prioritize routines to undertake planned traction and rolling stock engineering activities

Responsible for the safe movement of rolling stock
Responsible for the recruitment of the maintenance team members
Responsible for the continued development of the maintenance teams
Control costs through planning of resources
Identify and deal with hazards in the railway environment
Gather information and support the execution of the maintenance plan from the PCPC
Development of improvements in maintenance processes
Deal with disciplinary issues within the maintenance teams
Carryout assessments in line with the depot competence management system as required
Accept and confirm responsibility for the control of traction and rolling stock assets
About you
Considerable and Demonstrable evidence of working in a similar role, in a railway environment.
Contractor Management Experience
People management
Qualifications
M & E HNC or served engineering apprenticeship.
