Birkbeck, University of London is seeking a Duty Security Manager for Campus Experience & Security - Nights. This permanent, full-time role leads night security operations on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (20:00–08:00) at our Bloomsbury campus in London.
You will supervise the night team, manage rotas, oversee the control room, coordinate incident response and support campus events, while ensuring compliance with security, health & safety and data protection requirements.

As Duty Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of campus security operations, helping to create a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will provide visible leadership to the night security team, ensuring high standards of service, professionalism and operational performance. You will manage rotas and staffing, oversee control room operations, coordinate incident response and support the safe delivery of campus events. Working closely with the Facilities Manager (Campus Experience & Security), you will contribute to service improvements, staff development and compliance with security, health and safety and data protection requirements.
