We are now recruiting for a Duty Manager to lead our park operations.

Job Overview

Our Duty Managers are responsible for the day to day operational and commercial success of the park. Ensuring the health, safety & wellbeing of our teams and guests is always your highest priority and that you “Create unforgettable experiences one guest at a time”.

Key Measure of Success

The maintenance and on-going improvement of the Company’s guest experience and feedback performance.

The rigorous adherence to all applicable health and safety standards, with particular emphasis upon standard operating procedures, team member training, and operational performance monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow the parks opening and closing operational directives along with all other operational daily, weekly & monthly objectives as per the operational platform.
  • Ensuring that the Health. Safety & Wellbeing of our guests & team members is always your highest priority.
  • To manage the on-shift presentational standard of the park including monitoring of the Diner, acting on any issues and to report any recurrences to the Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Support the AGM & GM, when required, in all performance related matters ensuring the company's policies and procedures are followed precisely.
  • Promptly manage any maintenance issues and report via the correct operational systems.
  • To manage the operational deployment of the team on each shift, including the scheduling of break times and the rotation of allocated duties.
  • To actively manage, as required and ‘in-the-moment’, any on-shift accident, incident, or other untoward occurrence, in compliance with the park’s operating procedures.
  • Judge and assess whether any escalation is required in the management of any incidents, including any requirement to immediately notify the AGM/GM.
  • Accurately record any incidents, including a clear date and timeline, a description of actions taken, and the collection of any records (including photographic) or witness statements etc.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Someone who leads from the front and will be a role model to our team members.
  • Someone who loves to train and coach their teams to success!
  • Great communication and problem solving skills
  • Great Health & Safety knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Previous Leisure Industry experience is a huge plus!
  • Must have prior experience supervising/managing teams.
  • First Aid at Work qualification and Food Safety training is preferred

Working Conditions

  • Permanent role on a 24 hour a week contract
  • Salary £12.60 per hour (same rate for overtime)
  • All Fridays to Sundays and all school holidays are considered peak periods and you must be available to work during this time (holiday requests are only considered outside these times)
  • Additional hours will be paid at hourly rate
