Job description

Duty Manager – Immersive Entertainment & Hospitality

Salary: £31,000–£34,000 per annum
Location: UK
Start Date: September 2026

Are you a confident hospitality supervisor?

We’re working with an exciting first-of-its-kind competitive social gaming concept, combining high-energy games, entertainment, drinks and hospitality to create a completely new kind of guest experience.

As part of the opening team, we’re looking for a Duty Manager who is energetic, hands-on and confident leading from the front.

This is an opportunity to join a brand-new venue from day one, help build the team and play a key role in establishing the standards and culture that will shape the operation.

The Opportunity

As Duty Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping lead the day-to-day operation across the bar and floor, ensuring the venue runs smoothly and every guest receives an exceptional experience.

You’ll be highly visible on the floor, working alongside the team rather than managing from the sidelines. You’ll need to be someone who is happy to get stuck in, solve problems quickly and lead by example during busy services.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a strong Supervisor who is ready to step up and take on greater responsibility within a new-opening environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the daily operation across the bar and floor.
  • Taking responsibility for the venue during shifts and ensuring smooth service.
  • Leading, motivating and supporting team members throughout service.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality.
  • Being highly visible and hands-on across the operation.
  • Supporting the bar and floor teams during busy and peak trading periods.
  • Coaching team members and helping develop their skills and confidence.
  • Ensuring the venue is fully operational and ready for service.
  • Managing guest queries, complaints and unexpected situations professionally.
  • Identifying problems quickly and finding practical solutions.
  • Supporting labour management and effective deployment of the team.
  • Ensuring operational procedures, service standards and compliance requirements are followed.
  • Working closely with the AGM to improve processes and operational performance.
  • Supporting the wider opening team as the venue establishes its systems, standards and culture.
  • Helping create an energetic, fun and competitive atmosphere for both guests and the team.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strong hospitality Supervisor with at least 2 years of supervisory experience who is ready to take their next step.

Your background could be in:

  • Bars
  • Restaurants
  • Competitive socialising
  • Entertainment venues
  • Leisure
  • High-volume hospitality

Experience within a similar high-energy environment would be beneficial, but personality, leadership ability and attitude are just as important.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a hospitality supervisory role.
  • Strong bar and/or server experience.
  • Experience leading a team during busy services.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
  • Confidence dealing with guests and team members.
  • Experience working with EPOS and hospitality systems.
  • Ideally, familiarity with booking platforms and CRM systems.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and make good decisions under pressure.
  • The confidence to take ownership and make things happen.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak social occasions.

Most importantly, you need to have personality and energy.

This is not a role for someone who wants to stand back and watch. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action, gets involved with the team and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

The Opening Team Opportunity

Joining during a new opening means you’ll have the chance to be involved in something from the very beginning.

You won’t simply be stepping into an established operation — you’ll help create it.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Join the opening team of a completely new venue.
  • Help establish operational standards and ways of working.
  • Build relationships and a strong team culture from day one.
  • Gain valuable new-opening experience.
  • Work within a genuinely unique competitive social gaming concept.
  • Help shape the guest experience and atmosphere from the outset.
  • Develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work alongside an experienced management team.

The concept combines competitive games, entertainment, technology, drinks and hospitality, creating an environment where the guest experience is about much more than simply eating or drinking.

What Makes You Right for This Role?

You’re probably currently a Supervisor, Senior Supervisor or experienced Team Leader who feels ready for the next challenge.

You’re the person who naturally steps up when things get busy. You stay calm when something goes wrong, make decisions quickly and know how to bring your team with you.

You’re confident, outgoing and comfortable interacting with guests. You enjoy the energy of a busy venue and genuinely want to be part of the experience.

You also understand that working for a new opening means being adaptable. Things won’t always be perfect on day one, so we need someone who can think on their feet, solve problems and help build the operation rather than simply follow an existing playbook.

If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact from the start and take the next step in your hospitality career, this could be the opportunity for you.
