Job summary

The Pickaquoy Centre Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Duty Manager to join the management team at Kirkwall's premier community leisure, sport and events facility. You will lead a skilled team, ensure first-class customer service and safety, and coordinate daily operations across the centre's diverse activities.

Previous supervisory or management experience in sport, leisure, hospitality or a customer-focused environment is essential.

The Pickaquoy Centre Trust is at the heart of community life in Orkney, delivering a diverse range of sport, leisure, arts, events and conference activities from one of Scotland's most unique multi-purpose facilities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Duty Manager to join our management team.

This is a varied and rewarding role with responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Centre, leading teams, maintaining high standards of customer service and safety, and ensuring the smooth delivery of activities across our facilities.

You will be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to support and motivate teams in a busy operational environment. Previous supervisory or management experience is essential, ideally within sport, leisure, hospitality or a customer-focused setting.
