Job description

Job Title: Duty Controller

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum

Location: London, UK

My client is a construction contractor responsible for one of the busiest roads within London. They're looking for an experienced Duty Controller to join the team based in London.

Key Responsibilities of the Duty Controller:
  1. Ensure the safe and efficient operations along the road network
  2. Monitor Tunnel CCTV system
  3. Develop and maintain an expert working knowledge of the tunnel SCADA system
  4. Coordinate detection, assessment and verification of incidents and emergencies
  5. Conduct a regular SCADA system check on bespoke forms
  6. Monitor and record absences
  7. Record information on all incidents
  8. Liaise with the emergency services when required
  9. Communicate with the Road Manager on all serious incidents
  10. Update the vehicle allocation log
  11. Participate in required control room shift handover at the end of each shift
Key Requirements of the Duty Controller:
  1. Experience within a similar CCTV role
  2. Highways knowledge highly desirable
  3. Willingness to work shift patterns
  4. Based in London with access to own transport
Package of the Duty Controller:
  1. £30,000-£35,000 per annum depending on experience
