Job Description:

Dunfermline Relief Support Worker

£12.00 per hour

The Ark service in Dunfermline supports 12 people with learning disabilities and autism. The support offered varies from person to person, providing lots of variety. Some are supported to live independently, others with their families. Support activities include cooking, swimming, arts and crafts, visiting friends, or holidays.

Shifts vary from 3 to 16 hours over 7 days a week. Dunfermline has good public transport links, so driving is not essential.

Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting vulnerable people as part of a team.
  • Providing individual care and maintaining relationships.
  • Supporting activities with encouragement and positive feedback.
  • As a Relief Support Worker, you will perform the same duties as Support Workers but on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Note: Relief work is on an as-and-when basis and may not be regular.
