Job summary

The Best Connection Eastbourne is recruiting an experienced Dumper & Shovel Driver for ongoing work in the Newhaven area. You will operate a loading shovel and a dumper on site, load and transport materials, move items around the site and perform routine vehicle checks.

Applicants must hold valid CPCS/NPORS tickets for both dumpers and loading shovels, have a solid understanding of site safety, and demonstrate reliability and punctuality with prior site experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Dumper ticket CPCS/NPORS or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid Loading Shovel ticket CPCS/NPORS or equivalent.
• Good understanding of site health & safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Previous experience working on a busy site.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovel and dumper on site.
• Load, transport and tip materials.
• Move materials around site.
• Carry out daily vehicle and machinery checks.
• Report defects or safety concerns.
• Follow all site health & safety procedures.
• Assist with general site duties when required.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Operating a

loading shovel safely and efficiently

• Operating a

dumper on site

• Loading, transporting and tipping materials
• Moving materials around site
• Carrying out daily vehicle and machinery checks
• Reporting any defects or safety concerns
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Assisting with general site duties when required

Requirements

• Valid

Dumper ticket - CPCS, NPORS or equivalent
