Are you an experienced and highly skilled dumper driver looking for a challenging contract role? We're seeking a dedicated operative to join our team on a remote groundworks project in the Carlisle area. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient individual who thrives on diverse tasks in a unique environment.

About the Role:

As our Dumper Driver, you'll be integral to the success of our groundworks operations on a remote site. This role will involve covering all aspects of groundworks, meaning you'll need to be versatile and adaptable. Your key responsibilities will include:

Operating various types of dumpers safely and efficiently across varied terrain, often in challenging conditions.
Transporting earth, aggregates, spoil, and other materials for drainage, foundations, earthworks, and general site preparation.
Working closely with groundworkers and machine operators, assisting with excavations, backfilling, and levelling.
Performing daily safety checks and basic maintenance on your assigned machinery, reporting any faults promptly.
Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations, understanding the unique demands of a remote site.
Contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of the groundworks team.

Required Skills:

Proven experience as a dumper driver on groundworks projects.
A valid CPCS or NPORS Dumper ticket is essential.
Exceptional machine operating skills with a strong awareness of site hazards and a keen focus on safety.
Versatility and willingness to assist with general groundworks tasks when not operating plant.
Ability to work efficiently and reliably in a remote setting, often with minimal direct supervision.
A strong understanding of civil engineering principles and site logistics.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are paramount.
Own transport will likely be essential due to the remote nature of the site.
